Congratulations to the Project21forlife team for raising £4260 for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation at their Pub Quiz event in November.
Following the success of the last two years the Project21forlife pub quiz took place at The Bedford in Balham where they enjoyed a quiz as well as prizes and a raffle.
Katie-Jane Arthur’s father, Richard Sullivan, the inspiration behind Project21forlife, sadly lost his fight against brain cancer in March of this year but they are determined to continue his legacy. As ever, Richard was determined to turn life’s bad luck into something meaningful and so far, Project21forlife have raised over £100k for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation.
This year they are raising money to purchase Stealth Autoguide Robotics Guidance Platform for St George’s Hospital. This vital piece of equipment, which can’t be funded by the NHS, will enable surgeons to perform more accurate positioning of implants tailored to each patient’s anatomy, meaning shorter surgical time and reduced radiation exposure – both patient and surgeon safety will be improved with greater surgical success.
