Charity Tapas Evening Raises £13,000

Charity Tapas Evening Raises £13,000 – On Thursday 29th June, we were delighted to welcome over 100 guests to the wonderful José Pizarro at The Swan Inn, Esher, for tapas, paella and an evening of fundraising organised by project21forlife in support of the John King Brain Tumour Foundation. We are pleased to share that we raised a staggering £13,000 which will help enormously towards creating a ‘Forest in the Sky’ Garden at St. George’s Neuro ICU.

The evening was hosted on the beautiful terrace at The Swan where the barbeques were fired up for the true taste of grilled tapas classics alfresco.

Our Forest in the Sky project will provide a restful space for critical care patients, carers and loved ones who are all coping with the impact of extremely difficult and traumatic circumstances. It promises to have benefits to rehabilitation as patients become re-acquainted with the outside world. and use their senses to stimulate the healing process.
