The Project21forLife fundraising evening at the fabulous Swan gastro pub in Esher on Thursday 12th September raised £21,242.
An evening of dining alfresco on the beautiful garden terrace and enjoying delicious Tapas and Paella was a great success.
The evening was in memory of their late patron Richard Sullivan, an inspirational man, who set up the charitable initiative, project21forlife in appreciation of the outstanding treatment provided by the surgeons at St George’s Hospital, Tooting. Despite undergoing gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Richard was determined to make a difference and project21forlife has raised over £75,000 for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation.
The Swan Tapas Evening was fundraising towards creating a ‘Forest in the Sky’ Garden adjacent to the Neuro ICU at St. George’s Hospital, Tooting, a project that was so close to Richard’s heart and which will offer the opportunity to have a restful space for critical care patients, carers and loved ones who are all recovering from the impact of extremely difficult and traumatic circumstances.
