Congratulations Harriet Sweetman for running the Victoria Park half marathon and raising money for an incredible cause, the John King Brain Tumour Foundation.
Funds raised will go towards purchasing a Stealth Autoguide Robotics Guidance Platform, which will benefit over 1,000 adult and paediatric neurosurgical patients each year at St George’s Hospital in Tooting. This vital piece of equipment, which can’t be funded by the NHS, will enable surgeons to perform more accurate positioning of implants tailored to each patient’s anatomy, resulting in both shorter surgical times and reduced radiation exposure. This will mean patient and surgeon safety will be improved, and there will be greater surgical success.
