Congratulations to the lovely Ellen for such an outstanding achievement at the Marathon de Paris on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. Finishing in 3 hours 31 minutes.

The marathon started on Avenue des Champs-Elysees and continued for 42.195 km in the most beautiful city in the world.

Congratulations Ellen at Marathon de Paris

The race started on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées going downhill to circle the Place de la Concorde before turning right onto Rue de Rivoli. The route then passed the Louvre, then around the Place de la Bastille, and down Boulevard Soult to the Bois de Vincennes. A long loop of the Bois de Vincennes returns the route into the heart of Paris. The halfway point is reached at Rue de Charenton. The route follows the course of the Seine, passing Île de la Cité and under the Pont Neuf. The route continues along the Seine, before branching off east to eventually pass through Bois de Boulogne, emerging for the final 200 metres and the finish on Avenue Foch.

Ellen was running in aid of the incredibly important project21forlife which is raising funds for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation.

Richard Sullivan, set up Project21forlife to help those affected by brain tumours and their families. All proceeds raised will be donated to the John King Brain Tumour Foundation supporting the ‘Forest in the Sky’ roof garden adjacent to the Neuro ICU at St George’s Hospital, Tooting. The garden will provide a restful space for critical care patients, carers and loved ones trying to cope with the impact of extremely difficult and traumatic circumstances.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will support Richard’s exemplary efforts in this area.

Ellen has raised £3.2k, please help her to continue to raise money for this great cause by visiting her Just Giving Page here.
