Centurion Club Golf Day Golf Day April 2024 raises over £32,000.
What an amazing day!
Thank you to all who attended our annual John King Brain Tumour Foundation Golf Day at the 18 Hole Golf Course at Centurion Club, St Albans in Hertfordshire.
Not only a tremendous day without rain, playing on a beautiful course, we started with a tasty breakfast and ended with a delicious dinner with guest speaker Ken Schofield CBE (Retired Executive Director of the European Tour from 1975 to 2004 ) and a live auction hosted by John Francome CBE, (Former National Hunt Champion Jockey, television pundit and author) but with your kind generosity and support we raised over £32,000 for the charity.
The charity is raising money to purchase a Stealth Autoguide Robotics Guidance Platform for St George’s Hospital Neuro Surgical Department. This state-of-the-art equipment will enable surgeons to perform precision, minimally invasive cranial surgery including biopsies, electrode placements, laser ablations and tumour removal. The robotic guide will improve both patient and surgeon safety and surgical success, resulting in better patient outcomes, including longer life expectancy, reduced recovery times, and improved post-surgical quality of life.
