Project21forLife Hampton Court to St Georges Hospital Walk
In memory of Richard Sullivan – Fundraising for John King Brain Tumour Foundation. The charity works with a simple vision: to improve the outcomes for patients with brain diseases and disorders.
On Saturday 12th October 2024 Christine Sullivan joined friends, family and fantastic supporters, to help the vital work that St George’s Hospital, Tooting that provides to those receiving the diagnosis of a brain tumour.
The challenge? To walk 21 kilometres from Hampton Court to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, in support of the John King Brain Tumour Foundation.
The goal? To benefit over 1,000 adult and paediatric neurosurgical patients each year at St George’s Hospital by purchasing a Stealth Autoguide Robotics Guidance Platform. This vital piece of equipment, which can’t be funded by the NHS, will enable surgeons to perform more accurate positioning of implants tailored to each patient’s anatomy, meaning shorter surgical time and reduced radiation exposure – both patient and surgeon safety will be improved with greater surgical success.
Project21forlife was set up in March 2022 by The Sullivan family after Richard’s diagnosis of a brain tumour, to fundraise for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation and has already raised an incredible £76,000.
