Neuro Charity Walk 16th November 2024
The Neurosurgery team at St George’s Hospital Tooting are once again raising funds for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation Charity.
On Saturday, November 16th, the Neuro Team came together for a fun walk from Stratford Olympic Park to Greenwich Park, marking their 5th walk. All the money raised will help the charity to create a new roof garden adjacent to the Neuro ICU unit.
Over the past five years, the John King Brain Tumour Foundation has tirelessly fundraised to provide vital neurosurgical equipment for both adult and paediatric patients at St. George’s Hospital. These efforts have led to significant improvements in surgical outcomes for patients with brain cancer, brain disorders, and brain injuries. In addition, the charity maintains a beautiful roof garden adjacent to the neurosurgical wards.
“It was a fantastic success and a truly enjoyable experience for everyone involved! It was heart-warming to see so many people unite for such a worthy cause. We were thrilled to have raised funds to contribute to the important work done by The John King Brain Tumour Foundation. The event was filled with energy and laughter”.
The participants included: Linsey, Sam, Mary, Vicky, Josh, Neal, Marietta, Louise, Darren, Anita, Ellen, Monica, Gabriela, Lucy, Chris, Jose, Magali, Angela, Mathu, Nour & Lana.
